Tsuut’ina Nation, AB – On May 29, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., members of the Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service (TNPS) were conducting regular patrols in the parking lot of the Grey Eagle Casino when they located a suspicious vehicle.
Upon conducting a traffic stop, officers identified a male occupant who was found to be wanted on multiple outstanding warrants out of British Columbia. Both the male and female occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
A search of the vehicle, conducted as part of the arrest, led to the discovery of approximately 10 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, steroids and related substances, as well as drug paraphernalia.
As a result, both individuals have been charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Schedule I) x2 – Section 4(1), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- Indecent Act (Adult) x2 – Section 173(1), Criminal Code
- Fail to Comply with Release Conditions x1 – Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code
This matter remains under investigation, and further charges may be considered as additional evidence is reviewed.
