Tsuut’ina Police works with #NotInMyCity

Human Trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes nationally and globally, generating billions of dollars annually around the world, second to illegal arms trafficking and the drug trade.

The Yellow Rose Campaign is part of the #NotInMyCity initiative, founded by country music artist Paul Brandt. #NotInMyCity has become known for the iconic yellow rose created by renowned Canadian designer, Paul Hardy. The rose symbolizes support and a statement that you stand in solidarity with trafficking survivors as an Ally of #NotInMyCity.

As part of the Great Tsuut’ina Scavenger Hunt, TNPS and #NotInMyCity provided teams with Yellow Rose stickers to place around the community. The stickers have QR codes that link to more information about the campaign and resources for those at risk. Competitors also completed the online training “Mobilizing Communities to Disrupt Sexual Exploitation and Sex Trafficking in Canada”.

If you’d like to pick up a sticker to place somewhere prominent please stop by the TNPS office and grab one from our front desk, or visit https://notinmycity.ca/ for more information.
