Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service Charges Individual with Second-Degree Murder
TSUUT’INA NATION, AB – January 21, 2026 – The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service has laid charges in connection with a homicide investigation that began earlier this month on Wintergreen Road.
On Monday, January 5th, 2026, at 7:30 a.m, EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive female on Wintergreen Road in the Tsuut’ina Nation. The 29-year-old female was declared deceased at the scene. The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service launched an investigation, as the death was deemed suspicious in nature.
On Monday, January 19, 2026, investigators arrested 40-year-old Amanda Audrey Nicole Crane. She has been charged with second-degree murder. Crane is currently scheduled to appear in court via CCTV in Cochrane, Alberta, on January 27, 2026.
In accordance with the wishes of the family and out of respect for their privacy during this period of mourning, the name of the deceased will not be publicly released. The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service extends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
