Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service arrests Calgary man in targeted Aggravated assault investigation

Tsuut’ina Nation, Alberta — The Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service (TNPS) has laid charges in connection with a violent, targeted assault that occurred in January 2024 on Tsuut’ina Nation.

On January 14, 2024, approximately 5:15 p.m., the victim was returning to his parked vehicle after shopping at a business on Buffalo Run Blvd, when he was confronted by a male armed with a hammer.

The victim was struck multiple times in the head and face, sustaining several lacerations and serious, life-altering injuries.

The investigation determined the assault was a targeted attack orchestrated by a third party.

On December 9, 2025, TNPS arrested an individual alleged to have arranged the attack.  Mohammed Nezam UDDIN has been charged with Aggravated Assault.

A second suspect, believed to be the individual who carried out the attack, remains at large.

A composite sketch of the outstanding suspect is attached, asking anyone with information to come forward.
