Charges Laid in Drug Investigation

On March 17, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Tsuut’ina Nation Police Service (TNPS) officers arrested two individuals in the Buffalo Run shopping area as part of a drug investigation.

At the time of the arrest, there was a heavy police presence in the area to ensure the safety of Nation members and visitors to the Nation.

The investigation led to the arrests of two individuals, one from Tsuut’ina Nation and the other from Calgary, Alberta.

A search of their vehicle resulted in the seizure of the following:

  • Approximately 9 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • Large amounts of cutting agents
  • 2 cell phones
  • Scales
  • 1 gram of suspected cocaine
  • 0.3 grams of suspected crystal meth

The substances will be sent for laboratory analysis to confirm their composition.

Both accused remain in custody pending bail hearings. Names of the accused will be released following the completion of their bail hearings.
